  • Staff Profile – Tyler Child

    Little Did You Know

Tyler Child is a founding partner of PayDay Resources (PDR), with an extensive background in regulatory affairs and tax-related issues. More broadly, he has nearly two decades of experience in the employee-related administrative services field, in the 1990s having helped start a Professional Employment Organization (PEO) that eventually sold to Fidelity Investments.

Across his professional life, Tyler has drawn on a unique blend of hands-on business experience (the knowledge that comes from working closely with small and mid-sized employers to address various complex operational and staffing issues) and an entrepreneurial drive; both attributes have helped him lead PDR across various growth stages – from initial start-up to becoming a leading outsourcing services solution provider.

Tyler studied Finance at the University of Utah, is married and the father of three sons.

  • Staff Profile – Gary Thornton

    Little Did You Know

Gary has spent the last 8 years in a senior sales position at PDR. He is an expert on insurance and benefits administration. His professional background includes time at two national search firms—Aerotek and MRI Sales Consultants—where he placed senior-level executives mainly in the high-tech industry.

Gary graduated from the University of Utah (High Honors, Business Management), where he played varsity baseball, as a pitcher … he claims to have broken the 90mph barrier a few times but we have yet to see video proof. A diehard fan of his alma mater, perhaps his proudest moment came when his beloved Utes rolled the Crimson Tide of Alabama in the 2009 Sugar Bowl, capping an undefeated season. Go Utes!

Gary is married to Ally, who danced professionally and choreagraphed for 10 years for Odyssey Dance Theatre. They are the proud parents of a delightful 2-year old, Davis, who keeps them busy morning, noon and night. In their spare time (whatever spare time they can find, that is), they serve as part owners of the Dance Club, which continues to send talented, local dancers to the streets of LA and New York to advance their careers.

  • Staff Profile – Lindsey Burrows

    Little Did You Know

Lindsey has been with PDR for just over two years, coming to us with over 10 years of prior experience in the customer service and data entry fields. As a payroll processor, she is responsible for handling payroll and related services for 75 companies.

In her spare time, Lindsey likes to spend time with friends and family, go to the movies, play sports, and collect DVDs. She also has a passion for old cars and motorcycles. Lindsey loves it when she and her husband (Anthony) just hop on their bikes and ride — going wherever they feel like, be it for an hour, or a day or a weekend road trip. She also is a big-time fan of vinyl records because “they sound better.” Lindsey roots for the Real Salt Lake soccer team…  having been known to “Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole” her team to victory. But perhaps most important of all, she has developed a near cult-like following among PDR employees as a result of her mouth-watering homemade cookies and assorted desserts. Talk about tasty.

A native of California, Maggie currently is completing her studies at Utah Valley University. She resides in Cedar Hills and is the proud mother of Hannah, an energetic “all-over-the-place” 2.5 year old who loves nothing more than getting herself into trouble, time after time after time
